Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
Welcome to Freelance Rate Converter (“the app”, “we”, “us”), an Android app provided by FPS Motion. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the app.
1. Information We Collect
- No account required: The app does not require you to sign up, and we do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal identifier.
- Your data stays on your device: Calculations, conversion history, invoices, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not upload or receive this data.
- Advertising: The app displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device and usage information, such as advertising identifier, IP address, device type and operating system, and ad interaction events, to deliver, personalize, and measure ads.
- Technical information: Like any internet-connected app, requests made by the app may expose your IP address to the servers that handle them (see Section 3).
2. How We Use Your Information
- Locally stored data is used solely to provide the app’s functionality: fee calculations, currency conversion, invoices, and saved preferences.
- Ad-related data is processed by Google AdMob to serve, personalize, limit, and measure advertising in the app. We do not receive your personal data from AdMob.
- We do not sell, trade, or rent your data, and we do not share it with third parties except the services described in Section 3.
3. Third-Party Services
- Exchange Rate APIs: The app requests live exchange rates from third-party rate providers. These requests contain only the currency codes needed for the conversion. No personal data is sent by us, although these providers can see technical information inherent to any internet request, such as your IP address.
- Google AdMob: Used to display ads. AdMob collects and uses the data described in Section 1, which is shared with Google for advertising purposes. AdMob may show personalized ads based on your interests, where permitted by your device settings and local law. Google’s handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.”
4. Advertising Choices and Consent
- If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the app will ask for your consent before showing personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time through the privacy options in the app, where available.
- You can opt out of personalized ads or reset your advertising ID in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- Opting out does not remove ads, but the ads you see will not be based on your interests.
5. Local Storage
- The app stores your preferences (theme, layout, currency and marketplace selections, conversion history) and your calculations and invoices in its storage on your device.
- This information never leaves your device through the app and can be removed at any time by clearing the app’s data.
- Google AdMob may also store identifiers on your device for ad delivery and frequency limiting.
6. Data Security
- Because your data is stored on your own device, it is protected by your device’s own security controls.
- All network requests made by the app use encrypted HTTPS connections.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
- Locally stored data is retained until you delete it.
- You can delete everything at any time by clearing the app’s storage (Android: Settings → Apps → this app → Storage → Clear data) or by using the clear/reset actions inside the app.
- Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
- We do not hold any personal data about you on our servers. Data processed by Google AdMob is retained and can be managed according to Google’s policies and your Google account’s ad settings.
8. Your Rights
- Access: All of your data is visible to you inside the app at any time.
- Correction: You can edit or overwrite any entry directly in the app.
- Deletion: You can erase all data by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app.
- If you have questions about your rights or want to make a request, contact us using the details in Section 11.
9. Children’s Privacy
- This app is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
- Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
